SUMMER PROGRAM
August 17-21, 2026
Monday-Friday, 8:30am -12:30pm
This one-week choral/arts program will engage children (age 6 -12) and teenage mentors in five mornings full of singing, dancing, theatrics, and art projects. Activities are based at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Gloucester, with a field day at Stage Fort Park, and a final public presentation at SJC on Friday.

Tuition ($175.00 - one child; $125.00 each additional child in same household) includes 5 mornings of instruction, music & art materials, healthy snacks , art workshop, special guests, and a final performance on Friday. Payments can be made (1) online using the tuition button below, (2) by Venmo to @capeannartsalive, or (3)with a personal check mailed to Cape Ann Arts Alive, 9 Norwood Ave, Rockport MA 01966.

Mentors (age 13-14, not yet in High School) Mentors’ creative input and participation is welcome/expected in all aspects of the program. They will be given specific duties helping with supplies, snacks, modeling cooperative participation, etc. They will be asked to attend a staff planning meeting (TBD) prior to Monday, Aug. 17. They will gain valuable mentoring experience, can receive professional recommendations, and community service hours. and a $50 discount on tuition.
Teacher Assistants (High School students) Each Teacher Assistant will partner with an adult instructor in teaching a small group, as well as contributing to the large group activities. They will receive a stipend for time invested: Mon.-Fri. 8:15-12:45, two planning meetings before Aug.17th, a ½ hour clean-up and debriefing after the final performance.
